Sunday Ciclovía

Car-free Sunday mornings: bike, run or stroll with the whole city

Everyday awarenessFree fitness cycling free outdoors local-life

Every Sunday the city sports institute INDER closes major roads to cars so locals can cycle, run, skate and walk. The Avenida Las Palmas stretch, about 16 km of climbing road, opens 6–10 am, and Ciclovía is occasionally canceled for events like the marathon or elections.

Why we love it

  • Cycle or run up Avenida Las Palmas
  • Join locals on the riverside routes
  • Grab fresh juice along the way

Enjoy it safely

Well staffed with route marshals; stay on the marked lane, wear a helmet, and finish before traffic returns. Check INDER for cancellations.
