Parques del Río is a linear park built over a buried stretch of highway along the Medellín River, with bike routes, walking trails, picnic areas and play spaces. It hosted the opening of the 2025–26 Christmas lights and is a pleasant place for a daytime stroll or jog near Plaza Mayor.

Enjoy it safely
Enjoy it by day or during staffed events; it is busy near Plaza Mayor but quieter at the ends, so avoid lingering after dark.
